Overview

Developed a reusable consent component to capture user privacy and marketing consent across all forms on Slack.com following the Salesforce acquisition. Built in Hack (frontend and backend) with conditional logic based on country-level privacy requirements (GDPR, Japan-specific rules), piping consent data into Salesforce.

Highlights

  • Covers three consent tiers: no prior consent, marketing consent, and data processing consent (Japan)
  • Built in Hack with vanilla JavaScript for dynamic field visibility
  • Pipes consent data into Salesforce for proper routing
  • First deployed on the Contact Sales form, then reused across all forms
